the land of enchantment

New Mexico landscapes, originally uploaded by Tifty's Art.

This is a page from a sketchbook I brought on our 2004 car-trip vacation to Durango, Colorado. While riding in the car looking out at the amazing New Mexico landscape I sketched a few of the scenes. Talk about 'gesture' drawing. I can't wait to return.

How fascinating! I've never seen either of those places. Thanks for giving me a peek.

Oh, being from CO your post really caught my eye. Land of Enchantment in NM is SO unique...you have the southwestern desert, you have the sage of southern CO, your have the catus lands, but the mountains and landscape in NM is absolutely unique..of course we all know Georgia O'Keeffe .. there is something special there -very captivating for me
